2nd Annual HOPE FOR THE CHILDREN Charity Auction
The Northern Illinois University (NIU) Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega will be hosting the 2nd Annual Hope for the Children Charity Auction to benefit the nonprofit Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
- The event will be held at 6:00p.m. on Friday March 27, 2009
- In the Terrace Room located at Hopkins Park in DeKalb, IL
All proceeds benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation which seeks to find the cause of and cure for childhood brain tumors by supporting medical research.
This event is 1950's themed and a spaghetti dinner will be served, this includes:
- A garden salad
- Spaghetti with choice of meat/meatless sauce
- Garlic Bread
- Your choice of beverage
Cost is $6.00 with prior internet registration (Click Here to Register), $9.00 when registering at the door.
Alpha Phi Omega is a co-ed service fraternity that coordinates with outside organizations to aid in helping the community. Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation is the world's largest non-governmental source of funding for childhood brain tumor research. They seek to increase public awareness about the severity and prevalence of childhood brain tumors, aid in the early detection and treatment of childhood brain tumors, and provide educational and emotional support for children and families affected by this life-threatening disease. The nonprofit organization, has a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status to aid local campaigns in soliciting funds, and all contributions are fully deductible as allowable by law for income tax purposes.
