300K is this Saturday!

We have a 300K brevet scheduled to start at 6 AM this Saturday 8/29

We will be using the standard 300K route (Y Ride) going to Sorrento, back through LaPlace to Ponchatoula and returning to River Ridge.

For those not wanting to ride a 300 we will also be starting the Ponchatoula Perm at 6 AM. This will be heading to Audubon to begin with before turning around and heading to LaPlace and Ponchatoula.

For those who would like to only ride a 100K you will be able to pick up a Crab Trap perm card from the table on my back porch for it. If you start at about 7:20 you should meet the riders doing Ponchatoula on Jefferson Hwy at Moss and ride with them to LaPlace.

Lights and reflective gear will be required for the 6 AM start time.

Hey strangers, I may join you somewhere between Laplace and Ponchatoula.  I've got some work to do in Hammond Saturday till noon or so.  So, if work doesn't get in the way, I'll take my bike along and slip off for the afternoon. Probably park in Ponchatoula then backtrack the route till I run into you, then turn around and ride back with yall.  

Of course, I won't be official, but I'll officially be on the bike, and that's good enough for me!

That's gonna be too early, so I'll probably end up meeting yall in Sorrento.  Just have to see how work goes.

The route is through LaPlace to Sorrento, back through LaPlace and North to Ponch, then back to the River and home, correct?

The 300K is scheduled for Saturday, however, so far no one has committed to riding it. Steven Haskins (from Alabama) is coming down to ride but he only needs his R ride for the month so a 200K would work.

I think the plan for now is for Steven and I to leave HH at 6 AM headed toward Audubon. After we turn around and get to River Ridge we will have to exit the levee at Moss. Erin & Stevie G (riding Crab Trap) will meet us on Jefferson Hwy at Moss (about 7:20) and we will ride to Williams where we will get back on the levee bike path. I am guessing we will get to LaPlace about 9:30 - 10 and then Steven & I head to Ponchatoula while Erin & Stevie head to Crab Trap and then back to HH.
