CCR will be holding it's spring 600K this Saturday. The ride will start from HH (8909 Ormond Pl River Ridge 70123) at 6 AM. The course for the first leg is similar to http://ridewithgps.com/routes/7795122 except that it starts and ends at HH. The second leg is the same as http://ridewithgps.com/routes/5939917. Due to the Corp of Engineers raising the levee in Jefferson Parish the course will need to be modified for the first day going out from and back to HH. We will need to take Jefferson Hwy for about a 2 mile distance each way.
Like all of CCRs brevets this one will be an unsupported ride. We rely on convenience stores for controls (about every 60 miles) and there are additional convenience stores along the course (about every 30 miles). Lights and reflective gear are required for this brevet. There will be a bike/safety inspection at 5:45.
Anyone planning on riding should get in touch with me ASAP to ensure brevet cards and que sheets are available. I will be making up the paper work tomorrow night.
