ARIA nominated recorder virtuoso Alicia Crossley presents Bass Instincts. Featuring seven specially commissioned compositions, written by some of Australia’s leading female composers, Bass Instincts explores the instinctual musicality, versatility and virtuosity of the bass recorder. Audiences will hear works that transport them to ancient cultures, become immersed in a fantastical steampunk world, and have their heartstrings pulled.
Featuring new works by Alice Chance, Fiona Hill, Lisa Cheney, Anne Boyd, Holly Harrison, Amanda Cole and Jessica Wells.
