This trial asks you to kill 20 enemies without taking any damage to your health. That arguably makes it the hardest of the five trials for the sheer fact that there's no room for error, but if you can figure out a good strategy it's actually one of the fastest to complete. Here's our tips:

Below you will find details on how to complete the challenges found in this realm, and tips for beating them, and the Valkyrie as well. Each of the six arenas (except for the last) you come to will offer two trials: A Normal Trial followed by a Hard Trial, and both will have to be completed before you can move to the next. Thankfully, each arena will let you warm up with a practice mode and fully heal you before each fight.

The third wave is more complex - as the rings will constantly move around the arena, forcing you to change tactics and lure enemies across the playing field. Heavy Draugr will now enter the mix - consider rolling behind them to push them into the arena as you whittle down their health and finish them with heavy attacks when they step over the line. Be ready to quickly adapt the moment you notice a new circle forming to get into position and lead or push your targets into the circles.

This is important because many of the boss's attacks are party wide so instead of having to focus on healing the party they'll be doing so themselves, for the most part that is. One of the dangerous attacks this guy has is Morph. He changes into his speed form and becomes much quicker. As you may have guessed, he becomes much faster but a bit weaker as well. You don't really feel the drop in ATK as much as you feel the increase in SPD. Be careful and keep yourself healed.

Even Ground: Remember that powerful feeling of being a level 27 Inquisitor fighting a level 12 enemy? That's a thing of the past with this trial activated. Lower-level enemies now become the same level as your party. Have fun with those dragons.

Partially revive several of the nearby soldiers in turn, so they each reach about 80% health, but remain down. Use Play Dead and Sneak if attacked. Then quickly finish reviving several soldiers all together. They will fight together, defeating one or two wolves at a time. As they progress, keep them away from the boss. Meanwhile, continue reviving the remaining solders, until all the soldiers are up. Then kill the boss.

Go over the dragon's abilities and understand how they work as they will influence your performance. Probably the most relevant is the silence inflicted on your units after 30s and then after other 30s - it will temporarily debilitate your team by putting a hold on your units' skills. Some skills are more strongly affected than others, but once again this is a trial and error process to figure things out. Just keep this in mind!

Which of the stats work better and in what percentages depends of course on the stats of the dragon and your units, so it's impossible to give a global recipe here. Since we don't have the numbers on the dragon, it's also heavy trial and error. StormB ran extensive tests in this direction and his analysis suggests that Unit Damage Reduction is much more potent than -DEF, but it's best you test this for your own formation as well.

All Damaged Souls you did not manage to heal in time will then be turned into one of the enemies from Phase 1, with all above mentioned tactics still relevant. One or two enemies will not be a problem, but if you have four or five things will get nasty very quickly.

Each stage you clear on the brave trial rewards you with one badge. Badges are used to pay for one of three idols for benefits within the brave trial. The idols are: 1. Idol of reviving, 2. Idol of healing, and 3. Idol of blessing.

It is highly recommended to use dragon scales primarily to purchase monster materials, as the brave trial is the only way to gain additional monster materials outside of random drops in the campaign, and monthly events.

At last, Una leads Redcrosse to her native soil. As they approach her parents' castle, they hear the terrible roar of the dragon. Redcrosse has Una stand aside at a distance, and then he confronts the beast. The dragon is covered in a flawless coat of scales, stronger than any metal, has a long tail with razor sharp spikes, and powerful wings that carry him to meet the knight. Redcrosse charges at him and strikes, but his spear glances off the dragon's impenetrable hide, and both knight and horse fall to the ground. The dragon grabs them in its massive claws and lifts them into the air. Redcrosse struggles until the dragon is forced to let them down; thrusting once more with his lance, he happens to strike one of the beast's wings, and finally manages to leave a wound. Furious, the dragon knocks Redcrosse off his horse. Undaunted, the knight takes his sword and slices at the dragon's head, but it only stuns the dragon; angered, it lets out a fiery breath that scorches the whole field. Redcrosse's armor is heated so much that it burns him; he writhes in agony. The dragon knocks him backward, moving in for the kill, but the knight is fortunate enough to fall back into the Well of Life, which has great powers to heal wounds. The dragon, however, simply assumes it has won, and Una fears the worst for her hero.

The next morning, though, Redcrosse emerges as good as new. Better, in fact, because through the magical power of the water he and his blade are stronger, and confronting the dragon again he cuts a deep wound in the beast's head. In retaliation, the dragon wounds Redcrosse's shoulder with its tail and then tries to pull away the sacred shield with its claws. The knight manages to cut off the claws, but as he retreats he again falls, this time into a mire where a sacred tree grows, which, like the well, has magical healing powers. Another night passes, as Una frets and the dragon nurses its wounds. On the third day, Redcrosse emerges from the grove refreshed and healed. The dragon is furious to see the knight still alive; it bends down its open mouth, intending to swallow its opponent whole. But Redcrosse holds his ground and rams his sword deep into the dragon's throat. The beast crashes to the earth like a mountain falling from heaven, and it is dead.

Eadric the Pure needs to be controlled quickly as his passive buff, "Vengeance", causes his attacks to crit quite often, and he can quickly kill a healer or ranged DPS if the tank isn't quick enough picking him up. Once engaged it is a relatively simple tank-and-spank encounter. He will make use of two moves during the fight;

Third time's the charm - the Black Knight gets back to his... er, ghostly remnants of feet and comes at you a final time. There are no adds to deal with in this final phase, but he will constantly deal damage to all party members, so spells like Divine Sacrifice or Hand of Sacrifice will help the party or a single, particularly fragile, party member alive. One party member will also be afflicted by "Marked for Death" - the healer MUST keep their eyes open here as Marked for Death will increase their magical damage taken by 200% and this can very quickly result in their death if not watched for. Other than that, it is a tank-and-spank fight. When slain this third and final time, he stays dead, and you can collect your loot from the blackened orb he leaves behind like any other Wraith.Note, if the Desecration effect from Phase 2 is still present when he resurrects, move out of it quickly, as it will lay you to waste in very short order when coupled with Marked for Death.If you have a Priest, Druid or Shaman healer, the easiest way to get through this phase is often to have all party members gather as close to the boss as possible and have the healer chain-cast group heals such as Prayer of Healing, Chain Heal or Wild Growth, with the occasional focused heal for whoever's afflicted with Marked for Death.

Now that you've completed all four chamber trials, you're ready to head through the dragon crest door to face Ansur. I'd suggest resting first as you have a tough fight ahead. Ansur has 400 HP, which is the same as a Red Dragon, plus he has an annoying lightning AoE that's tricky to avoid unless you get behind cover.

Still, you can chip his health if you surround him, bring minions, and keep closing him down into melee. Though you sadly won't recruit the dragon to help you in the final battle, you will get two Legendary items for all this trouble. The Balduran's Giantslayer greatsword, which you can loot from Ansur, and Balduran's Helm, which rests on a podium at the back of the room.
