Sharing some updates from our ongoing work --
The "AI for Society" team continues in its mission to make technology relevant for pressing problems. For elections, we have built ElectionBot-SC, a chatbot based on our SafeChat approach, that safely *collates*, *disseminates* and makes verifiable information *comprehensible* - the CDC approach - to reduce information barriers. Try it out and participate in ongoing studies [1]!
We presented it at a local event [2] recently with positive response. This is a hard space where state-of-the-art Generative AIs have come out with policies to the effect of avoiding answering directly! Grateful for the hard work by students, generous help from collaborators, and verifiable date from official and secondary sources.
