Using the UiPath.Activities.API package from the Official feed ( _packaging/UiPath-Official/nuget/v3/index.json], you can add your own custom wizard to Studio's ribbon. For information on how to use the...

Soooo, the official answer is no, however it is fully extendable with plugins unofficially in my opinion. For example they recently added the text editor plugin which you can turn on or off by editing a config file. If you make a library that inherits the PluginBase class then I see no reason you cannot edit that same config file to add your new plugin.

That being said, there is zero official support for this so you kinda need to figure out how to build a new library around the PluginBase yourself.
Depending on how complex or simple your Plugin is would depend on how achievable this is?

I saw somewhere but now can't find it (or maybe I dreamed it??) a post with the instructions on how to edit the Windows 10 registry in order to stop Sound Forge Audio Studio 14 from scanning for plugins every time it is opened.

I am not aware of a specific registry tweak, nor am I familiar with the AS (Audio Studio) versions. However the VST startup search can be disabled in the SF Pro's "Internal" menu, which is normally hidden. Change FALSE to TRUE in the "Skip startup VST grovel" entry. Be aware that new VSTs will no longer be loaded or available if this setting is changed..

I've realized how insignificant this issue really is. AS scans the VSTs with no problem it just takes a few seconds longer to start up and as I don't plan to add any new VSTs I thought it would be nice to be able to disable scanning for VSTs until needed. Surprising how impatient I can be! :) Thanks for your help!

I just tried this in SF Pro 14(there are actually more files with either vst3 or vst2 types)...moved them all into a new folder. The issue then becomes multiple pop-up windows during startup that say that it can't find those files and asks if you want to retry or continue.

@Endre-Nagy Older versions had the /NOVSTGROVEL switch that stopped VST scanning. If I remember it correctly stopped working some versions ago. But since you have the older version 15 it still might work.

In an earlier post you mentioned In the past, I've been using cracked versions of Sound Forge. That admission is NOT going to endear you to Magix or fellow-users so can you confirm that your current installation is fully legitimate?

Hi @Endre-Nagy, This has been commented on and solved few times.search this forum.. (Find) "Update Notifier" Basically, just uninstall the "Update Notifier" application which is separate from main Sound Forge app. As I recall the application is in C:\Program Files\Common Files\MAGIX Services

I would like to make a plug-in for visual studio... But I have no idea where to start. While it was quite easy to find guides for Eclipse plug-in development, I'm having troubles to find a good guide for VS plug-in development.

I suggest to start here: _vsnet_addins.aspxThis is great set of resource for VS add-in developers. Creating VS add-in is quite easy. Some keywords if you want to search for more: VS add-in (plugin is not very used), VS extensibility, VS automation.

What you want to do next really depends on what you're trying to build. If you want just a simple plugin (maybe a menu command that runs some code against the Visual Studio Automation model: EnvDTE), you could do an Addin. (There are templates for Addins in-the-box under Other Project Types -> Extensibility in the New Project dialog.)

While Visual Studio remains (even in 2010) a largely COM-based application, there are managed libraries (e.g. Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.*) and interop assemblies for accomplishing many kinds of extensions.

there's a codeplex project here that shows how to create a VS plug-in, but I found it to be quite involved, and more detailed around the specific implementation, than a generic 'getting started with plug-ins' guide...

Plugins for VS were historically a nightmare to build: all these COM interfaces sticking out from various odd ends, WEIRD_CONSTANTS_IN_GLOBAL_SCOPE, etc. If I were to develop a VS plugin, I'd target Visual Studio 2010, which is, as they say, is really nicer in this respect.

I installed Android Studio, it has lots of plugins enabled by default and disabling them makes the program start much faster. I'm sure I don't need all of that since I'm only a student at the moment, I'm also working with Java only.

All plugins can be disabled with some lose of functionality,so this is up to you to decide.Plugins which provide a great deal of functionality such as an entire languagesupport should be prime candidates.

Additional Troubleshooting
In some cases you will need to force Studio One to rescan all plugins at start-up. To do this you'll need to navigate to "C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\PreSonus\Studio One 4" and delete the "x64" folder.

I think all your errors are linked to the fact that you do not have the sources. Which should be the case.
How did you install the basic mass viewpoint (dropins, updatesite) for which version ? If you go to your install folder, do you have the .source plugins ?

In any case, I tried to run the runtime anyway, and I noticed that the mass appears correctly on the palette (when the PAB is opened) HOWEVER, when you drag and drop the mass on the physiscal component, NOTHING HAPPENS, it does not create a new element linked to the physical component. That is supposed to work.

Hello Arnaud,
Thanks. Strangely enough i got rid of the problem of the .cdo when i used the right version of the addon. Althoght I must add: we do not use TeamForCapella.
However I am still facing the same problem which is :

I am not able to reproduce the import method you described in your tutorial. And I think that is why I am not being able to use the plugin Basic Mass correctly. (It does not work after being regenerated)

I just tried it with Capella Studio 5.2.0 and the Basic Mass viewpoint 5.1.0. It does works correctly and if I regenerate the viewpoint from the vpdsl files and restart in runtime then it still works.

So, these files are in the Maven-Repository and VS Code does see where Java is and knows which version to use. VS Code reports the build succeeded, but Fiji is not showing up. As it was once working with VS Code, I would appreciate to get some help about this issue. I found the following issue on this forum, which resembles to mine a lot. However, deleting the mentioned folder in the M2_REPO leads to re-download of the folder but the mentioned problem persists.

Is anyone out there developing ImageJ plugins with Visual Studio Code these days? If so, any interest in writing a guide, similar to the workflows for other IDEs (currently Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ, and command line)?

Yes, absolutely, our new bundles provide tremendous value on some of our most popular collections of plug-ins, and native versions are included for the best of both worlds. Native UAD plug-ins also allow you to record and mix on-the-go without attaching UAD hardware.

Way back in the 70's I remember going to a studio in NJ that had the Pultec EQ in their rack. I could not believe the sound they produced. Now UA has done an excellent job in making this series of EQ's that come the closest to that original sound I heard in that studio...This is a must have for a home studio and I could not be happier with this purchase...Wonderful and keep up the great work...Regards, Michael
