The PolyFlex TPU90 filament is one of the flexible materials created by Polymaker, engineered to provide high flexibility without compromising the printability. The extrusion of flexible filaments tends to be problematic but with the PolyFlex filaments this is not the case. With proper settings and a direct drive extruder, PolyFlex TPU90 offers excellent layer adhesion, no bubbles, no clogging and no deformation and is easier to print than similar flexible material thank to its high melt index.
Parts 3D printed with the PolyFlex TPU90 filament resemble tough rubber and can stretch more than 6 times their original length before breaking. Furthermore, PolyFlex TPU90 has the ability to resist ultraviolet (UV) light or sunlight so it is perfect for the printing of parts that are not only extremely flexible and durable but can be used outdoors without risking decoloration or material degradation.
The PolyFlex TPU90 filament is delivered in a vacuum sealed bag with desiccant. Once opened, the filament should be stored properly to prevent it from absorbing moisture from the air. The best way to store filaments in a tightly sealed bag with desiccant, in a vacuum sealed container or in an intelligent filament container. During printing, the filament can be placed in PolyBox. If the PolyFlex TPU90 filament absorbs humidity, it should be dried before printing at 70 C for 12 hours in a filament dryer.
It is highly recommended to wear standard safety equipment during the printing and post-processing of parts 3D printed with the PolyFlex TPU90 filament - safety goggles, gloves, breathing equipment and protective garments, according to needs.
* The typical values detailed in this table should be considered as a reference. Actual values may vary depending on the 3D printer model used, part design and printing conditions. We recommend confirming the final results and properties with your own tests. For further information please refer to the product data sheet.
