MOOC update

in the course, since there are 114 folks registered to date (and that
is just from online word of mouth). There are more than 15 countries
represented and right here in the group I have noted: US, Switzerland,
Lebanon, Ireland, Greece, UK and China. My thanks to those of you who
have introduced yourself and noted where you are located.

We are still a few weeks away form the official start of the MOOC, and
I am still working out some of the bugs and adding materials each
day ... so check back from time to time to see what might be new in
each week.

I finally started a new blog for CMC11 and have added it to the RSS
feed. Those of you who have subscribed to the daily newsletter should
be seeing the posting(s) on 23 August ... in your e mail. You might
wish to get your own blog started and register it to get ahead o the
crowd ... I have not inserted those suggestions into the Activities
section yet. As a tip for registering it ... make sure you watch the
video listed under PLENK on the registration page ... Stephen Downes
has created it to help us all walk through the process.

Ooops, the first part of the message wandered off ... nothing of great
import, merely pointing out that we must have a number of lurkers and
folks who have not yet decided to jump into the Google group.
