Hey y'all, this is Kiki, the geeky founder of this list... I've gotten
you all to sign on in hopes of creating a FREE awesome community of
designers & developers in Atlanta, as opposed that useless waste of
$300/year, AIGA!
Anyway, can everybody REPLY and check in, and just give a little
overview of who you are, what your primary skillset is, and what your
current work situation is? Then let the networking begin!
So here goes.
I'm Kiki Carr, currently a freelance web designer. I'm transitioning
from print design (10+ years) to web design, which makes it pretty
damn hard to get a job -- overqualified for junior web jobs, which is
what my skill-level is, and under-qualified for senior web design
jobs! Harumph.
I've been doing a lot of freelance web design, but given the current
economy, now I'm looking for a job. Any leads?

I'm Steve and I'm working full-time at Definition 6 on web work. I too am transitioning from 11 years of print to web. I've been learning more about usability and how the web works. I also freelance on the side doing print work, web creative (not programming), logos and general consultation.

I'm a Freelancer right now. Print and web, heavier focus on web right
now—somehow got wrangled into wrestling with SharePoint. eck! Always
looking for new tips and tricks to incorporate into my arsenal of
design fun. Here's a site I like a lot for tips and tutorials:
