First, big thanks to Anna, Kanako, Hisham, and Kevin for taking time to brainstorm and flesh out ideas for our inaugural CC:SG Festival 2011 (yeah, we're caling it a festival, as it has more kick to it). It was a long meeting, with very wide ranging and stimulating discussions. I might blog about the meeting some time, but for now I shall not explain too much and just direct you all to this :
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Creative-Commons-Festival-2011/257226024290800?sk=infoIf it isn't self-explanatory, then I guess it's back to the drawing board.
The decision on the dates, the sequence of events, the naming etc. were all made by consensus and after debate and deliberations at the meeting.
Btw, I'm not too concerned about this event being a flop (however it may be defined). If it is a flop, we'll try something different next year. I'm confident with volunteers like Anna, Hisham, Kanako and Kevin (who are probably working the ground to suss out interested contributors and contacts) we can make this a decent inaugural session.
So how do you see yourself helping? :)
Cheers
Ivan
