Posting regarding unplayable MP3 with Media Player

The original posting has disappeared....

Someone posted about not being able to play several of a collection of
MP3's.

Before you give up, try downloading the freeware music utility
"Audacity" from http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

After you get it installed, go to this link for information on the LAME
MP3 tools: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/lame which should
take you here: http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/

First, see if Audacity can open and play the files, as they might be
corrupt. Sometimes you can trim them a bit and restore to a useable
file with Audacity.

If Audacity can play the file, use the LAME tag editing tools to replace
all of the tags in the files, and then see if you can play them.

I've had problems with a small number of mp3's just due to the tag
information in them...
