nVidia has announced the new Geforce3 Ti 500 and Ti 200 GPUs and guess who
is on the list as an add-in-card manufacturer? Yes Creative Labs!
nVidia states that all manufacturers are going to release their video cards
within 45 days from October 12th. The strange thing is the there is no
Hercules/Guillemot on the list.

The new card *is* faster than the 'old' GF3, but it hardly warrants the
upgrade unless you're buying from scratch.

Hercules/Guillemot have already got PR news out on Ti based cards!

I tell ya, I'm damn happy I didn't rush out to buy a geforce3 when they were
released!, as the new Ti500 is more powerful than the normal geforce3.

Think I'll start saving for the Ti500 puppy!!! :-)

I think we both made a good decision in sticking with our old cards, and now
we can buy the gf3 ti500 without having to sell the gf3 at a low price.
Now my only wish is that ATI will complete it's restucturing and begin
selling it's chips to add-in card manufacturers, by this I hoping for a
greater competition in the video card market which will eventualy drive
prices to a resonable level!

Yep, thats true m8,

The prices are still sky-high, and way above a realistic level. I begrudged
paying £1xx for my GTS2, over a year ago, so expecting everyone to go buy a
new card for £3xx is daft if u ask me

Eh, well, I got my GF3 back when they first came out for less than they are
still charging for them..and going from a V5 5500, it was definialy the
right choice for me...now I will just sit tight until next summer.....

Hopefully by then the insane price bracket they are hitting for the high end
cards will have come down a bit..

My 32MB GTS still feels very fluid in places, but I gotta admit my system is
crying out for a GF3...
