Hi,

I'm desperate!
Can someone tell me how to access, from Cubasis, instruments stored in my
E-MU proteus (2/orchestral) store above the 127th preset? (that would be
from 128 to 191)

I've tried playing with the program and bank fields but without success,
then i tried adding a sysex to my track and edited the comment to send the
MIDI message I had found in my proteus manual. Here is what the manual says:

Proteus presets are organized in banks of 64 presets.

Then it shows:

Bank -- Range -- Requested Present# -- MIDI Message

0 -- 0/63 -- 1024(0x400) -- F01804dd000008F7
1 -- 64/127 -- 1025(0x401) -- F01804dd000108F7
2 -- 128/191 -- 1026(0x402) -- F01804dd000308F7

Then it say:
The original commands for requesting user presets (-1:64-127) and factory
presets (-2:0-63) are still supported to retain compatibility with existing
software.

A new command has been added which requests the master settings as a group.
The master settings request is: F01804dd08F7

So i tried F0,18,04,dd,00,02,08,F7
but the program says: "status byte in Syex message" and then: "there is no
$F7 = EOX" ...

It seems to me that it should be quite standard for musicians to access the
presets that are stored in their proteus, so what i am doing wrong, not
doing, or better, what should i do to access those presets,
PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE help!

If you have the answer for SONAR, please give it to me too, i have the demo
and i'm ready to buy it if it works better.

Thanks,
Katja
