Hey everybody! Blog posts, poems, photos, and events below! Read as much or as little as you like, the headings say it all.

Sexy Controversy
There's always lots to argue about on the internet, but I'm not so used to being in the line of online comment fire. I wrote an article on why the now-famous/infamous Equinox Yoga Video made me feel uncomfortable, and lots of people have taken pains to tell me how much I am wrong to have these feelings.
The star of said video, though, Briohny Smyth, responded to my personal message to her with elegance and compassion, and we reopened ourselves, as a united front, to the mouth of the public to be kissed or eaten.
Here is a link to my article (which links to all the other stuff): http://www.elephantjournal.com/2012/01/why-the-sexy-equinox-yoga-video-pissed-me-off/
and a link to an interview with Briohny by Jeannie Page (so we are truly a web). http://www.elephantjournal.com/2012/01/briohny-smyth-the-full-story-straight-from-the-yoginis-mouth/
Briohny said it best in her Facebook repost of all this stuff: "No matter what, own it. It's your right to have an opinion."

Sexy Poetry
If firestorms are not your thing, and you prefer the divine and the erotic, check out this poem I posted on elephant journal. (Unless you are my parents or my brother. Then skip on to the next). http://www.elephantjournal.com/2012/01/tantric-philosophy-sex-til-dawn-and-the-smell-of-your-armpits-poem/

Speaking Up

Amidst all this shoving myself into the public eye, I've been thinking about Ana Forrest's Warrior Heart from her book Fierce Medicine: a heart that is open, but grounded and steady, rather than a "flabby heart" which "lets all sorts of crap fly in." How to stay grounded when your online avatar is being attacked? Well, I haven't figured it out yet, but here are my thoughts on Spirituality and Health Magazine on How to Tone a Flabby Heart.

Pretty Things!
Tired of thinking and want to see something pretty? Have a look at Christoph Prevost's beautiful photographs on my website. There are more in the works, and I'll be posting them up there as he sends them to me. http://www.jcpeters.ca/2012/01/i-just-have-to-show-these-off/
