Hello Creative Community Council!
A group of four (Judy, Alana, Sharon and Collin) met today at Collin's
house and spent a good part of our gathering doing check in and
response time. We realized that this is the big gift of our coming
together: to share what we are up to and asking for support and with
our networking and challenges. In this way, we mentor each other and
stay current with some exciting projects (learnings, events) happening
around us. Another topic we explored is how/when to expand our CCC
group. There is a shared belief that a strong commitment (i.e.
regular attendance to meetings) builds connections and the power of
the group. We also discussed the advantage of having a manageable
size gatherings (say, 8 people max) to keep the sharing intimate and
within the time allotted. Since the Sat 10-12am time slot does not
work for everyone, a second circle meeting at an alternate time is
one creative solution that would allow for expansion. That said, we
are curious who can attend our next meeting which will be:
Saturday, October 20 from 10-12 am at Sharon Hoyer's house, 4545
McNeill St (home phone no:
360-344-4249)
If you know that you can't make it, or would like to help initiate a
second circle, let us know. If you know that you no longer want to
be part of this gathering, make that be known as well. One way we can
spread the word to all our members is via a monthly email that lists
relevant updates/events. We are looking for someone to gather this
data and organize a group email in lieu of taking notes at the
meeting(s) or sending out individual announcements. If perhaps you
are finding each single response coming to your mailbox a bit much,
you can visit your Google groups web page and under "my
membership" (to this group) and select "abridged email" that bundles
all responses and delivers one email at the end of the day. May this
group feed your sense of connection and foster great dreaming.
In love and light, Sharon
p.s. one reason the next meeting is later in the month is because
October 5-7 is the Northwest Permaculture Convergence (
http://www.northwestpermaculture.org/
) held out at Fort Flagler. Judy will be one of the keynote speakers
on Friday. Please come!
