to Creation vs Evolution
I have spoken to many creationists who also acknowledge the scientific
evidence of the theory of evolution. My question is, since all of our
scientific knowledge shows that humans evolved from the same family
tree as certain primates, does this mean that there was a critical
point in our evolution where we acquired a soul? Did the cavemen have
souls? Furthermore, different investigations into ferile children,
those raised in nature apart from all humanity and civilization, as
well as children who were abused and therefore locked away in
basements, attics, etc... have shown that because these children did
not come into contact with language before the critical age, approx
6-10, they never learned to speak or communicate with any fluency over
that of a 10 year old. Morever, these children do not process many of
the higher order cognitive skills which differentiate humans from
animals. Do these people still have souls as well?
