As info for those not on the IPL e-list. I'm out of town for tonight (on a family vacay) but will send illustrative draft text on regulatory protocol for saving the Bay by next week.

We're making sacred haste, together.

This moment calls all of us to move quickly to choose clean energy in our homes and congregations, with many federal incentives scheduled to sunset over the coming year.

Listen to my call to action, and then scroll down to choose clean energy right now.

We invite every congregation in our network to select a worship service (especially September 5-7) during which to make an announcement about the need to make sacred haste, and to download and copy a bulletin insert to share clean energy opportunities with everyone in your community.

Could your congregation distribute bulletin inserts to those attending worship in the coming weeks?

Individuals and houses of worship in Maryland have great opportunities right now to choose clean energy and electrification - including programs for income-qualified homeowners and grants for congregations.

Visit ipldmv.org/now for a list of energy programs and incentives available by county and electric utility service area.

Go Solar in MD at home

  • Solar United Neighbors’ Switch Together program: bit.ly/faithinsolar (Contracts signed by 9/15/25 will be installed by the end of the year, for homeowners in Montgomery, Prince George’s, Howard, and Frederick Counties. Eligible folks will be connected with Maryland’s Solar Access funds, too.)

  • Civic Works’ solar co-op program: civicworks.com/solar (for homeowners anywhere in Maryland)

  • If panels aren’t possible and you pay your home energy bill, subscribe to community solar through Neighborhood Sun: nsunsolar.com/ipl

Electrify in MD at home

Power your congregation with clean energy

  • Schedule a call with IPL-DMV's Clean Energy Shepherd Maddie Smith about your congregation's potential electrification, energy efficiency, or solar project. The Maryland Energy Administration offers grants for electrification and solar projects for non-profit organizations located in qualifying areas. Schedule with Maddie today to get started!

Click here to sign-up to distribute bulletin inserts with the area-specific programs and incentives in your MD congregation.

Visit ipldmv.org/now for a longer list of energy programs and incentives in your area.
