Wow, really, we've been using animate for a mountain of work, some 1200 interactive animations to teach math and science. If it is fully compatible, that would be massive boon for us.

Anyone know if it is backward compatible with 0.8 code as well?

Everything should be working as expected. Of course there may be some
changes, but have a look at the console for warnings. If anything is
deprecated that is the place to look. Also have a look at our docs
they are all up to date with the latest information.

Ah ok, cool, yea it's hard to know of course, like I said we have 1200 animations. And to test them all looking for a small warning in the console would effectively take a few weeks, but yea was just hoping to get a solid "yea it should work great with compatible 0.8 code". Thank you so much though! CreateJs has been a life saver for us!

Hey Sebastian,

We've been using CJS to transfer a massive library of interactive animations that teach math and sciences to high school students. It's been extremely effective as previously they had the entire library created in Flash.

Unfortunately when changes get made to the main CJS code we have to test a massive amount of animations. With the latest version we have been running into a few issues, for example "if the movieclip is not on the first frame but it is on the 30th frame, if we try and get the position beforehand using localToLocal, or localToGlobal, it returns a improper value." I am guessing that this is because of the lack of a parent in this version of CJS during those previous 29 frames. Before there was a parent so that was beneficial. I noticed a bug report in Github pertaining to the lack of parent on frame one. Don't know if this was solved or addressed.

Also now, we are seeing issues with re-parenting. Now, not necessarily a practice of mine, but we have some animations that take a object from inside of one MC and try and place it into another dynamically added MC. This worked fine before, but no longer works. I don't know if you explicitly tried to remove this possibility from occurring or not. But do you happen to have an idea of how to either patch that kind of functionality or what a workaround may be?

We also had issues with drag and drop not working with the new HD scaling, it's half off position wise, (which makes sense) but we have a workaround now in place So that is good.

Any help is greatly appreciated,
-Colin Williams
