Hey All,
I was very inspired by the CreateBaltimore concept to do something
along the same lines that focuses on bringing different performing
arts groups together in the city. We have a bevy of stellar
organizations, troupes, and ensembles churning out performances in the
Balto Metro area. It would be great to bring people together for a
networking/discussion event.
Is anyone else interested in this type of event or would be able to
toss me some ideas for hosting?

Hi Megan, All,
I wasn't able to attend Create Baltimore on account of my being sick and probably contageous, but I've got an idea that might fit this very well. I'm starting an international holiday called Existence Day and I'd like to use Baltimore as a launching pad.
The concept is very simple: A holiday to celebrate the too-good-to-be-true fact that we all exist in this amazing universe. People can celebrate anyway they'd like, but I'd like to put together an event, open to the public, where people can come and celebrate together. I'd like to have all kinds of things for people to do (i.e. dancing, potato sack racking, live painting and more) and thought to have a parade and performances made up of Baltimorians. I realize it's a bit late to begin planning this (the parade, at least) but wanted to throw the idea out there to see if anyone's interested.
I'd love to hear if people are interested in such a thing. We're working on a new site currently, and hope to have it finished by mid-February, but you can check out the old (somewhat stale if I say so myself) site here: http://existenceday.org.
