Not the upcoming Van Wilder spin-off starring Kal Penn, but India's most expensive production ever. A lavish spectacular even by Bollywood standards, Akbar Khan's 3-hour opus opens with the betrayal of a Mughal emperor (Kabi Bedi). Later, he recounts the story of his beloved Mumtaz Mahal (Sonya Jehan), in flashback, complete with Pierre et Gilles sheen.

The 40-year-old is also keen on putting her past behind. She was touted as the next big star when she entered the industry with Saudagar. With movies like Khamoshi: The Musical,1942 A Love Story,Akele Hum Akele Tum and Dil Se,she consolidated her position as one of the top actors. This, however, was shortlived. Over a period of time, the actress almost vanished into oblivion, making appearances in insignificant films like Darwaza Band Rakho,Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story,Mumbai Express and Mehbooba.
For the most part of her career,Koirala has experimented with various genres and is keen to continue doing that even today. When Onir mailed her the script of I AM Megha (one of the four segments in the film I AM),the story of a Kashmiri Muslim girl, she was more than delighted to take up the offer. I have always admired Onirs work. And this role is something I have not done earlier, she says.
Over the years, she has come to acquire a sense of maturity. Koirala is happy that her well-wishers and fans remember her for her good work. Thats the reason I now want to work with Mani Ratnam,Raj Kumar Santoshi,Yash Raj Films and Rajshri Productions, she says, promising to return to Tinseltown in a couple of months. Samrat knows about my love for movies. So I will be shuttling between our home in Mumbai and Kathmandu, she confirms. I just love films. And I will be doing them till I breathe my last.
Akbar Khan is one of the leading actors, directors, and producers of all time. He has contributed to Hindi movies and television serials throughout his life. Khan started his journey from scratch of being an assistant director. He has worked on films and magnum opus like taj Mahal, an eternal love story that was a big hit in the international market. Akbar is even thinking of relaunching it.
My family would visit India about every four years, and it was my happy place. I loved being surrounded by cousins, my favorite food, and the sweltering Indian heat. Serving as lifelines to my ancestral culture, Bollywood films and soundtracks momentarily supply the same warm feeling in my heart that I have when my feet rest in Indian soil.
I, along with billions of Indians worldwide, instantly fell in love with the on-screen couple and what would become the longest-running film in Indian cinema history. SRK and Kajol have natural chemistry and the stellar screenplay, also by Chopra, tugs at your heart from all angles.
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (KKKG) is the 2001 follow-up film by Johar, once again starring SRK and Kajol. This time the film does not revolve around a love story, but instead focuses on themes of pride, ego, social class, and clashes between traditional and modern Indians.
KMUSE: This story was so unique and fun. I love everything about the online gaming transitioning to real life relationship concept. I think one of the reasons this show was so popular was because it was so relatable to the younger generations. I could see this totally working as a modern day fairytale romance.
