You are making alot of assumptions. For one, I would never assume that a Cream Legbar line has ig/ig, or just ig/ig alone, without segregating out all mutations. From memory, there were at least two sources where Punnett et al. extracted a ig-like mutation (one with the Araucana x Hamburg etc crosses, & later from a Leghorn line).
And that 'chestnut permissible' in the British Poultry Standards probably has something to do with Punnett et al. segregating similar in their research. So you can't even say that there weren't phaeomelanin intensifiers segregating too in the original Cream Legbars.

Plus the following in the Crele Modern Game line I have:
Full sisters:

Left b+/-, Right B/-

Their B/b+ father:

Ie, the e+ B/- Crele hens are a lighter colour than the het. B/b+ males (no B - dose effect differences), & these have a red enhancer in the line.
So I don't even have to have ig/ig to produce the Cream Legbar female phenotype
