2016 Southern Regional Director

Well...it is 2 months into 2016 and we are about to have our first Full Member on-line club meeting.  I was appointed to fill the remaining year of Kathy Kinsel's election as Southern Regional Director. I am slowly getting up to speed on thing. If you are in the Southern Region and you wan't heard from me yet (check your junk mail) you should be hearing from me soon.   Our First Quarter Board meeting was exciting in that I realized for the first time that in 2016 the Cream Legbar club will be eligible for a Pre-qualifying APA meet.  I also was reminded what I had heard a few months earlier than Diane Jacky was recommended to the Club by the APA to do the Cream Legbar art work that would be required for the APA standards book.  I hope to get the support of the members in the region this year to get our birds in front of APA judges so that we can continue down this road.  If you have any shows in your area that you feel would make a good regional meet let me know.  Any show that we can get at least three club members committed to attend I will set up as a club meet and work with the show director and APA judge at the meet to ensure that they have a copy of the draft APA standard and understand it.  The earlier you let me know of potential meets the earlier we can send out notifications to other club members in the area to see if we can get them to join you and made our presence know to the APA.
