"Thomas Syre, Sr. is a retired associate professor of health care administration from James Madison University. He served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer with the WHO Smallpox Eradication Program during the reign of Emperor Haile Selassie I. Since university retirement, he has periodically returned to Ethiopia as a volunteer professor and guest lectured, edited theses, and advised students in MPH and Ph.D. programs. His diplomas include a B.S.Ed., MPH, and Ph.D.
Thomas Syre, Jr. is an experienced editor and technical writer. He is a James Madison University (Virginia, USA) graduate with a B.A. in English. He completed graduate coursework for an M.A. in technical writing at Northern Arizona University and has held positions as writer and analyst in the U.S. military, a technical writer for consulting firms, and editor for a president’s office of a large and established national university in Ethiopia. He is now an account manager for a Fortune 200 company and lives in Virginia with his wife, Cristina."
