Michigan's Pere Marquette Rail-Trail

[ERT - Mike Breiding]

Recently, Betsy and walked and rode some of the Pere Marquette Rail-Trail.
It runs for 30 between Midland and Clare MI.

If you are in that area but do not have time ride it is still worth stopping in Midland to see The Tridge.

I plan to be visiting and cycling various places in Michigan in two weeks.  I will be visiting various sand dunes along Lake Michigan and cycling various places.  I plan on doing an overnight ride near Manistee through part of the National Forest and then North to Sleeping Bear Dunes.  Then further North to cycle the area of Wilderness State Park and then some cycling on Mackinac Island.  Here is the overnight route.  https://bikepacking.com/routes/manistee-overnighter/

On my return I will do a morning ride on the Ohio to Erie trail in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

I plan on returning in August to the UP backpacking in two areas along Lake Superior but hope to ride my bike to the middle of nowhere to Keweenah Rocket Range.
