The Arlington Skyfest is no longer a fly in.  I do not recommend it.  It is now an RV campsite, tent site, and tailgate for people driving in to BBQ, drink, and watch an airshow. There was no food for the pilots on the first night and morning until the gates opened for the general public.  When we pilots walked across the runway to go to a distant coffee shop for breakfast we were accosted by local security cars who knew nothing about airplanes. We were parked far away from the show center and behind a roped off area holding the general public from visiting us as in the past.  However the antique cars were on display show center. 

Never again. 

The old EAA Arlington fly-in is dead and gone.
