Audio encoder and Pad

I was wanting to use the same text file on two different combinations of audio encoder and pad encoder which were basically using the same audio source but with different paths. One stream had the correct DLS but the other said 'no DLS'. Is this to be expected that duplication of DLS information is not possible in this way?
