UDP feed into ODR-Audio-Enc

Hi all,
First of all, what a great bunch of people working here together to get things going! thanks!
My question:
After much testing of the ODR_Audio encoder / DAB-mux I have two questions:
1:
Is is possible to feed an UDP multicast stream that hold approx 15 audio services to the Audio Encoder?.
With vlc -vvc rtp://@<streamaddress>:<port> --program=<programID> Ii manage to get the desired audio decoded by the computer and it sound great on the speakers, so this is working.
When I try to use it with the ODR-Audioenc i.e.:
odr-audioenc --vlc-uri= rtp://@<streamaddress>:<port> --program=<programID> -b96 -r 48000 -o tcp://127.0.0.1:9001
there is audio on this DAB channel but this is distorted as hell and it looks like this is audio data from a few of the programm's mixed together ( the UDP stream hold approx 15 audio services )
Is there any solution that the audioencoder can handle these streams, and select the right program ( PID / ID or what ever )? ( VLC is capable, as you can read above )
2:
When using the -D option in the Audio Encoder this will result in, when the system is started whith no web-stream inputs, no internet or whatsoever, the audio encoders will start, suing almost no CPU power, but when WEB is applied the encoders will not do anything. Supervisor is not restarting them.
Supervisor stop en restart by hand will solve the problem instandly.
When -D option is removed, the system comes up flawless after data was interupted or when system is booted without internet attached.
Any ideas how to go around this?
Anyu help / suggestion is highly appreciated!

1. You can pass arguments to VLC using the -L option, so instead of
--program=ID
you should try
-L --program=ID
2. The silence detector can help you in this situation. It will make
ODR-AudioEnc abort after a long silence, and supervisor will restart it.
Regardless of if -D is used or not. I wasn't able to reproduce the
situation, trying to connect to an IP that doesn't exist. It aborts
after a few seconds.
But there might be other situations where it takes very long to timeout,
and the silence detector can help.

Thanks for responding Mathias,
The -L option does not change anything. I seems like odr-audioenc is not selecting the proper audio channel ( ID / PID ) for decoding, or something like that.
VLC direct is giving OK audio on the speaker, On the screen it give a continue stream of: Invalid header [ 0x.xx.xx........]
I inserted a snaphot of VLC after it starts with: vlc -vvv rtp://@225.0.0.1:5004 -L --program=8031
Hopefully you see something that can point me in the right direction to get the audioencoder to receive the right audio.

1. You can pass arguments to VLC using the -L option, so instead of
--program=ID
you should try
-L --program=ID
2. The silence detector can help you in this situation. It will make
ODR-AudioEnc abort after a long silence, and supervisor will restart it.
Regardless of if -D is used or not. I wasn't able to reproduce the
situation, trying to connect to an IP that doesn't exist. It aborts
after a few seconds.
But there might be other situations where it takes very long to timeout,
and the silence detector can help.

Still this give highly distorted ( hikkking / sound like different station mixed )
In VLC direct no problem with the audio on the speakers of the PC, but the output on screen is as in my last post.
Can I get some debug info on the screen while the audioencoder encodes this distorted sound? maybe that can help us.

Update:
I created my own UDP stream with 2 audio services inside,
This resulted in the same distorted audio ( like 2 channels mixed / Muxed together)
When I edit the UDP stream to 1 channel, audio is perfectly routed to ODR-Audioenc so to the DAB multiplex.
It looks like the channel selection is not OK when VLC is used to route this audio to the Audioencoder.
I used:
odraudioenc --vlc-uri=udp://@225.0.0.1:5004 -L --program=28402 -b 96-r 48000 -o tcp://127.0.0.1:9001 -l
With or without the -L option makes no difference
Any ideas?

Forgot to mention:
The program ID is working partly while:
When selcting a non excisting Program ID, the encoder will not output any data, when the ID is ok, it works.
So you need to enter a valid ID.
Last tested: UDP Stream with 1 stereo audio program: working perfect...
add the second audio program ( different program ID ) to the stream ( wile running and with new start of the stream and/or encoder, will cresult in the distorted audio directly.

I don't know how libvlc actually handles such multi-audio streams, this
needs some investigation.
How do you create your UDP stream? I won't be able to help you if I'm
not able to reproduce the issue here.

Can you do a network capture (e.g. one minute length) with wireshark,
filtering only the UDP stream we're talking about, and save it to a
.pcapng file? Then I can replay the UDP stream.
If the file is larger than 10MB, please upload it to some online file
service.

I hope you can get the 2channel file working.
Also:
When using the 1 channel stream ( not this file ) there is every few minutes some distorsion. playout at those moments is like audio is faster than it should, or "hiks" but after a few moments DAB audio is OK again. ( Buffers? )
I tried to play with the buffers ( bigger, smaller, prebuffer big / small and combinations ) in the Mux, this helps but does not solve this. also -D option is enabled

I was able to replay the capture, but haven't been able to get it to work.
Sometimes my VLC asks for an SDP file: "A description in SDP format is
required to receive the RTP stream. Note that rtp:// URIs cannot work
with dynamic RTP payload format (31)." This is VLC 2.2.7.
I don't know how to approach this as I'm no expert in MPEG-TS/UDP/libvlc
internals.
Are there other tools that you could use to get the audio from this RTP
stream, and then maybe pipe it into odr-audioenc? Maybe it's better to
look for alternative solutions.

Forgot to ask, did you get the stream(s) working with just vlc from the command line?
So did you get audio?
