Hello ODR Team,

First I want to thank you for all your time and effort to create this product.
It looks amazing!

I'm trying to make a test setup.
I currently have a DB broadcast DAB+ transmitter. I can feed this transmitter with ETI.
I would like to use your software to create ETI signal for the transmitter.
For the first test setup I want to test it with local audio test and later with audio that comes from an internet stream.
I am a windows and mac user, currently I have a linux ubuntu version running on a windows machine using the virtual box.
I have gone through your installation procedure but I am unable to figure it out.
I am sorry but I am not an IT person, but rather a passionate radio freak.
Is there a possibility that you go through the installation with me or is there somewhere a tutorial video that shows the necessary steps.(Step by step)
I had also seen that there is a GUI, if I get this working it would mean a lot for us.
Once I have understood the installation procedure and the configuration, I would like to share this with fellow broadcasters in Belgium, I think everyone would love to have an open source program.
Especially for study purposes.

I can be contacted via telephone, skype, team viewer, email, etc ..

Greetings
Joris Schiettecatte

Hello Joris,

Follow the instructions in the guide:
http://opendigitalradio.github.io/mmbtools-doc/mmbtools.pdf

This will show you how to setup a complete chain and illustrates how the
different bricks fit together.

If you can avoid ETI and use EDI instead it would be better. It's more
future-proof, and you don't need to buy an additional ETI card for your
PC. http://wiki.opendigitalradio.org/Farsync_card

Of course, that depends on your modulator supporting this.

The GUI4ODR you mention is sadly not maintained anymore, and you will
probably be on your own if you want to use it.

Let us know how you progress with the guide.

Cheers

Hello Matthias,

I'm sorry I ment EDI.
I need to do the installation of these programs first;
A C++11 compiler
Boost 1.48 or later
ZeroMQ 4 or later

I've never did installs before on Ubuntu..
Is there some tutorials where I can learn the basics?

Hi Joris,

if you have no experience whatsoever managing linux systems, I would
invite you to get in touch with a local Linux User Group (LUG) or a
hackerspace close to you. It's best to have somebody next to you so that
you can ask questions. People at those places are usually very open to
newcomers who have questions about free software, and maybe you can even
motivate somebody to join you in the project!

Or maybe there is somebody else on this list who could give you an
introduction.
