Welcome back! Hope every1 had a fun 4th and a good wknd. It's been a while but yes, we are back to playing kickball this week. Get pumped!



One quick note b4 i get to the game info. There will be a mid-season party at Bar None on the 13th starting at 7pm. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town then but I highly suggest any and all to attend if u don't have other plans. These parties are usually a lot of fun as most of u can attest.

So i write this email knowing full well that it's 4:30 in the FREAKING MORNING b/c i'm boarding a plane soon heading for NY. But I just wanted to give a small recap and say what a great game we played last night. We came out on top 4 (or 5?) to 1. We had some slick, aggressive baserunning and solid defense. A special shout out to Juliana for redefining the meaning of the phrase, "tip drill." First time was the standard tip off the fingers but the second one (and the most stylish) was literally a volleyball bump hit that was so perfect I think Misty May-Treanor and Keri Walsh would be proud.

And just a quick reminder... the mid-season party is tomoro night at 7 at Bar None. Here's the link again: WAKA Kickball's CA Marina Midseason Party

It's nautical themed but not really a big deal if u don't dress up accordingly. There will be free beer (for as long as it's available) along w/ a flip cup and KOH tourny. I'm glad every1 had fun last night. We're really coming together as a team with each passing week. Can't wait for next Thursday. See u all then and enjoy your weekend!
