Hey Hikers...   Wow we have a great turnout this Sat... I have lost count because I am trying to keep up with emails from all ends... and work is crazy busy right now...   We have approx. 38 to 40 people that have committed to attend this Sat hike.  That is wonderful I feel too proud because I was worried everyone would say "omg Mary is planning so it will be a mess and I'm not gonna go... " JK the truth is I don't know what the hell I am doing...   I am bad at reading maps but I had attached the map that we will follow (?) to past emails as well as on the hikes site (which I really would love to see everyone utilize because it is wonderful and works and will eliminate all these missed hikers and those that do not want to be on the list anymore). I am sending out this email because I know many of you still need to go on the site and sign up and I don't want to exclude anyone but i would really be great if you all could sign onto the blog and become a member and very easy for the next hike planners to come...   I am attaching the site again and you can click on and become a member... then set you setting to your email and you need never go to the site again... the updates and communications will go right to your email of choice...     Hikers: John S.Frank and Dale,Tom + 1,Judy,Scott,Jim Mary, Brady, steve d.,Mary L. Liz and ?????, Joe A.,Fe,Curt,Dave Curtis, Stephen F., Maryann,.Monica,Susan,Michael A,Cecilia R and Maybe- Ramon, Sylvia, and....   I have others that have emailed and said they are coming or will meet s there sorry... i have lost count and all the emails (hints y we so badly need that site signup)    So the plan:   We meet at Davis ride and share off Mace at 6:30 and will leave there to the hike location by 7am.   Everyone knows the drill bring you water and lunch and um well any refreshment you may want to enjoy after our hike :)...   The day will be really nice and the hike sounds really pretty.... If I am reading the map right the plans and the trails we will go on are noted below.   Also, below is the meeting spot that we will all meet because some are coming from other areas... now if this map and my trail layout does not make sense please for those that have done the hike or can read a map... correct me or plan a different course... I am open to that as I said I am bad at reading maps...   See you all Sat will be a great day... bring you camera's....   Who I have in my truck are the following: Me, Judy, Scott, Sylvia, Brady, Cecilia, Mary L(?). Did I miss anyone? I have room for 8 so I think I'm full...    If you look at the map attached. We will meet at the starting point on the map NORTHWEST PARKING LOT AT 9AM. From there we will hike up to where it says end Tennessee Valley trailhead. On the way up we will go from North Visat Point following it up (not down to Rodeo valley Trail) going there following the SCA trail the Alta trail to Bobcat Trail up...   On the way back we can follow the bobcat Trail down to Bunker Road Trail Head up Rodeo Valley Trail back up to SCA Trail and back to North Vista Point...

Sorry, if you not meeting us in davis here are some directions and also the map of the trail web connection...     If cheaper is more of interest than speed, you can avoid the Richmond Bridge toll of $6 by exiting Hwy 80 in Vallejo and taking Hwy 37 to Hwy 101 and then go south instead.  It adds about 10 – 15 more minutes to the drive. OR   Hwy 80 West to Richmond Parkway exit in Pinole.  Go right and follow the signs toward San Rafael and Richmond San Rafael bridge.    You’ll be on the Richmond Parkway for about 4 miles until you hit Hwy 580; go west toward San Rafael and over the Richmond San Rafael Bridge.    Take second exit off of bridge south toward Hwy 101, passing by San Quentin State Prison and Larkspur Landing.  Right after underpass under 101 is ramp onto 101 south.   Take Hwy 101 south until the last exit before Golden Gate Bridge and turn right going under Hwy 101 on Bridgeway Ave.  About ¼ of a mile, turn left at first intersection and go through the old military tunnel toward Fort Kronkite and Rodeo Beach and follow the map you sent out from there.   http://ridgetrail.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=113:marin-headlands-from-the-golden-gate-bridge-to-tennessee-valley&catid=42:north-bay&Itemid=133 --- On Thu, 4/21/11, Mary Khoshmashrab <marykhos...@yahoo.com> wrote:
