The Isaac Newton Hall of Residence is located in a residential area of Milan: the Gallaratese district. It is in the northwest of the city, and although it is further away from Politecnico, it is connected by the nearby underground red line (M1 San Leonardo). The residence guests are exclusively Politecnico di Milano students, who attend Campus Leonardo and Campus Bovisa. Housing is mostly in double rooms with private bathrooms, but there are some flats with single and double rooms. Near the Newton Hall of Residence there is a supermarket and the Bonola Shopping Centre, with all its services and shops, is a short distance away.

With Newton expressing so much interest in horses, a ranch-style estate only made sense. By the early 1970s, Casa de Shenandoah boasted a stable devoted to breeding rare and expensive Arabian steeds, an equine hospital, a riding corral, and additional stables. At one point, the horses even had their own dedicated swimming pool.
