A colleague, Rachel Hahn, at the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics is looking to host a free pediatric first aid/CPR class to child care providers in Crawford County and the surrounding region. I have included details from Rachel below, as well as her contact information. Please feel free to spread the word to help Rachel identify a location willing to host this event.

ECELS is currently implementing a grant-funded project to provide free Pediatric First Aid/CPR classes to child care providers across the state. We had a very large number of individuals sign up for these classes all over Pennsylvania, and we are looking for locations that will host these classes. Class size can vary, but if you have a maximum number of people that your space can accommodate, we will absolutely follow that. Instructors are already chosen, and they are PQAS certified, HSI curriculum instructors. They will provide all materials, and we will coordinate signups through an online form. The space would need to have room for people taking the class, as well as CPR materials like manikins.
If you believe you have a room or space that can work for these classes, please let me know. We would schedule at least a couple weeks in advance to give people enough time to sign up. We would prefer if classes could take place on weekends to accommodate the schedules of child care providers, but if your location is only open Monday through Friday, I’m sure we can make that work as well.
