2 questions, for y'all

Where the heck does someone get 1/8" plywood?  Basswood is easy to find, but I want something stronger.

2nd question, mostly for Brian (I think), those little terminal connection things I bought a pack from you, Do you remember where you got them?

James, sorry for the delay in getting back to you as I have been out of town.  Per your questions, any aircraft plywood is very hard to get now days it seems.  I have some sheets and could sell you one if you like.  I think they are 2 square feet sheets.

The little pass through connectors are made by Larry at NCR.  I think he sells them some other place that is online, but I can't remember the web site name.  I always just get mine from Larry but since we haven't been flying up there its a bit of a trick.  If I remember the other online place, I will forward you.

I did have a question on your DD rocket.  Did it have a vent hole in the AV bay?

James, G10 is often used now. It is strong and easy to work with.  Just a quick search on Amazon I found this

And I prefer isolated PCB blocks. Just solder the wires to it and drill a couple holes and pass the wires through and glue the block down.  I use electrical tape to cover to prevent corrosion.

Thanks Brian for the info.  I found some 1/8" plywood on Amazon and bought a few sheets.  

Thanks about the posts, I'm sure we'll get some NCR launches sometime!

As for my DD rocket, I THINK​ it had a vent hole, but I tossed that piece not long ago (it was crushed anyway) so I can't check.  I think what happened is either the barometer was busted, no vent hole, or I accidentally disarmed it.  With the Eggtimer you can connect to it via wifi on your phone and use a web UI to arm it, and it's easy to automatically disarm it.  I'll never know for sure, but I've got a rocket I can use to test all this without depending on the computer for ejection so I can figure all this out, get the process down, etc.

Thanks James, you almost read my mind.  How do people normally cut the G10 sheets? I have cutting bits that I'm sure will do it but I want it to look pretty, not like it was cut by some dude who can barely see it.  I'll have to rig up a template or something.

OOhhhh, I like those PCB blocks.  I ordered some other blocks awhile back, gut they're pretty large, fine for a larger diameter rocket, but not a lot of room in a smaller diameter one (like a 54mm tube), but these look like they'd fit fine.

I have found the best way to cut G10 is with a tile saw.  IE water flood.  Still haven't figured out a good way to bevel the edges yet other than allot of burning up sand paper with a block, or table saw with a special fixture to hold the darn parts but be very careful as that can result in missing finger parts if not done correctly and safely.

Same as wood,  a small table saw with a high tooth count.  Just use PPE and wash well after.

Not same as wood.  In general, wood is fine for sawing and sanding; Glass and carbon fiber construction, cutting and sanding produces much finer particles that are sharp.  Sawing wood dry, not much problem.  Sawing fibrous materials dry, and you get fine particles.  DO NOT BREATH and is a bitch too sweep up!! Mask required.

That's why if one can saw it wet, you will know where all the particle go and don't get them in lungs...

if you can find these terminal blocks, 

they will fit in a minimum diameter 29mm airframe if mounted vertically.

Well I did say use PPE, lol I have always used small table saw, vacuum and PPE(most of the time) outside

I use Larry Haynes' terminal posts, They work well only problem is loosing tiny set screws. You have to order them according to the thickness of your av bay bulkheads .I have his contact info if you want to email me.

These are exactly the ones I was talking about, thanks!  The ones I bought from Brian are for thicker bulkheads than the one I'm currently building, but they'll come in handy eventually :)
