As for upcoming events this Saturday we are full to the gills!
- Starting in the morning we have the Mega Take Apart which is part
eWaste drop off, part swap meet, part part harvesting
Free for Members / Donation Non-Members (object or cash)
- from 12-3 is the Saturday MAKE-IN with some special love for
projects using harvested parts
Free for Members / $10 Non-Members
- In the evening starting at 7:30 PM Jerry will be hosting a screening
of "Naturally Obsessed: The Making of a Scientist" is a PBS
documentary that follows 3 grad students in their pursuit of a PhD and
scientific success. Dr Shapiro's lab where they work is racing to
decipher structure and mechanism of AMPK a protien that controls
burning and storage of fat. (http://naturallyobsessed.com/) Lots of
cool science and bio and more. Feature is 1 hour, with several extras.
There will be lots of time for discussion before and after the
showings. Bring your own food, drink, experiments!! Free for members /
