My partner currently owns a HP6735s laptop, however she's added a password at boot-up and cannot remember it. The laptop was purchased second-hand, she's not sure of the BIOS Administrator password and she isn't enrolled in HP spare key. The warranty expired a while ago now (2009!), so I'm don't think it's going to be covered; just a hunch though.

We are trying to take an image off a HP Compaq 6735s laptop but we keep getting the above error message. Ghost will not detect the hard drive. The hard drive is a SATA hard drive. We are using a drive mapping boot disk and we have run ghost with the -dd switch and there is no drive information at all. The SATA is set to IDE rather than AHCI in BIOS.

Help would be greatly appreciated!
