Everyone,

I'm trying to build qtbase for the latest version of R on the Mac. Has anyone done this? I am getting this error, which looks like it might be having trouble finding the Qt libraries? (Working from RStudio, install from git, but I get the same error trying to install from the command line in a terminal window.)

Error : .onLoad failed in loadNamespace() for 'qtbase', details:
  call: dyn.load(file, DLLpath = DLLpath, ...)
  error: unable to load shared object '/Users/dicook/Library/R/3.0/library/qtbase/libs/qtbase.so':
  dlopen(/Users/dicook/Library/R/3.0/library/qtbase/libs/qtbase.so, 6): Library not loaded: libQtCLucene.4.dylib
  Referenced from: /Library/Frameworks/QtHelp.framework/Versions/4/QtHelp
  Reason: image not found
Error: loading failed
Execution halted
ERROR: loading failed
* removing ‘/Users/dicook/Library/R/3.0/library/qtbase’

cheers,
Di

Is that libQtCLucne.4.dylib somewhere in your filesystem? If so, then it's just not on the search path. R Studio probably doesn't use the QtHelp library.
