Hi everyone ~
You may know that Bodil and I have a show of collaboratively made, interactive, playable sound sculptures entitled Probability up at Pro Arts Gallery & Commons right now. You probably don’t know how important or fun it has been for us, and I think fun for our visitors too, or what a cool Dicewalk we had. You can get a good sense of what the work looks and sounds like from this short video. We had been booking times to open the gallery by request, but at this point there are more requests than there are times available. So ~ we will keep the gallery open this Saturday, March 26, noon until 5pm. Drop by and play the room then. Bring a mask.
Of course we hope to see you at the closing reception, Saturday, April 2, 6-9pm. Pro Arts will celebrate its long, storied occupancy of its space on Frank Ogawa plaza. Refreshments will be served, there will be surprise performances, and the Crank Ensemble will perform for the first time in eight years. If you do want to come at one of those times, you’ll need to come to Pro Arts, 150 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, Oakland, quite near the 12th Street BART station.
All of the instruments/sculptures still work! We’d love to find good homes for some of them ~ let us know if you’re interested.
Stay in touch,
Larnie & Bodil
