CUFA Annual Kick-off Picnic 6/16/18 - Details

Hello CUFA! 

Thank you to every who signed up for CUFA this season! If you have filled out the registration form but haven't yet paid, someone from the CUFA leadership board will be following up. 

This email will be describing all that you need to know for this Saturday's Annual CUFA Kick-off Picnic. This year, the picnic will be starting at 11:00am in the Rahway River Park, and the weather looks to be beautiful! We have detailed where in the park our site is located, and where best to park your car: 

The road circling the park is a one-way road, which is why we recommend entering from Valley Rd. There is a parking lot, noted in red, close to our picnic site. 

The picnic is free to all current and past CUFA members, and we'll be providing food and drink. We will have meat and meatless grillables and sides, but if you have any special dietary requests, please email Ryan Brown at ryan.s....@gmail.com by 1:00pm on Friday, and he will try to accommodate. We are permitted to have beer and wine at the picnic for those over 21, and we will be providing a 1/4 keg of Bud Light in addition to sodas and water. Feel free to bring any additional beer or wine if 21+. We will be checking ID's and supplying wrist bands for those who would like to drink.  

If you have any lawn chairs or lawn games (CanJam, SpikeBall, Cornhole, etc.) please bring them!

VERY IMPORTANT: There is a PRIDE Picnic from 12-5pm happening that same day within the park, and they are expecting 3,000+ people in attendance. As a result, we highly recommend that you show up before 12:00 noon on Saturday, if possible, to guarantee a parking spot close by. Parking may become problematic as the day moves on. Please consider carpooling. 

Technically, the PRIDE Picnic will only be held within half of the park, but the county has removed reservation rights from all of the fields left of the track. This means there is a chance we might have tons of open space for a pick up game, or none. We'll need to play that by ear, but we're hopeful that space will be available.
