On this first episode of 2025 I’m joined by Cranford resident Christy Ney. For 14 years she was the assistant stage manager for Wicked and before that she worked on other Broadway productions. She talks about what goes into putting on a show and what she’s doing today in arts education in Cranford.

January Drive-Thru Food Collection - Saturday, January 11 🚗🛒
Stop by Cranford United Methodist Church’s parking lot between 10 and noon to drop off donations.
Cranford Elks Fundraiser for Special Needs Children - Wednesday, January 15 🍴
Suspenders will be donating 10% of checks during this fundraiser between 5 and 10 pm.
Cranford’s Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Commemoration - Thursday, January 16 🫱🏾🫲
The event will take place at Calvary Tabernacle. This year’s recipient of the MLK Award will also be announced.
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service 2025 - Monday, January 20 🚙🧤🧦🥪
You’ll be able to drive-up and drop-off a variety of needed items outside Bates Hall at the First Presbyterian Church between 3 and 5.
Events at Cranford Public Library 📚🐧
The big news is that the library will be open on Sundays between noon and 4 starting January 5.
Also on the calendar in the week ahead, STE(A)M with Beam will teach kids how to make a stained glass piece and a family story time about penguins.
