However you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day you can add a new way to mark the day when Cranford holds its first St. Patrick’s parade on March 16. On this week’s podcast I speak with Mayor Terrance Curran and Barry O'Donovan, two of the people behind the celebration.

Cranford Area Chamber Breakfast with the Mayor - Tuesday, February 18 šŸ³

All members of the community are invited to join the chamber of commerce for a breakfast with Mayor Terrance Curran at the Cranford Community Center.

Controlled Environment Agriculture: Food for Space - Friday, February 21 šŸš€

Going back to the early manned space flights, astronauts had to bring their food with them (remember Tang?). For extended stays, growing food might be needed. A NASA representative will speak on the subject.


Black History Program - Saturday, February 22

First Baptist Church is presenting a program consisting of a number of readings regarding the contributions of members of First Baptist and Cranford residents. It takes place at noon at the church, 100 High Street.

Come to the Cranford Theater for a viewing of Riverdance followed by a short talk about Irish dance and heritage.


History Seminar: African Americans and Labor - Wednesday, February 26 šŸ‘·šŸ¾

This event takes place on the campus of Union College of Union County, starting at noon.


Fire & Ice - Saturday, March 1Ā  šŸ”„ 🧊

Let the wings bring the heat and the sculptor carve the ice! That, and more, happens in Downtown Cranford between 1 and 4.


Chicago Presented by CHS Performing Arts Department - March 7, 8 & 9 šŸŽ¹

The musical, originally produced in 1975, is going to have three performances at Cranford High.


Events at Cranford Public Library šŸŽ­

The Theater Project starts their new season Saturday and teens can learn to make their own lightsticks in the week ahead. The library will be closed Sunday and Monday for Presidents Day.
