Are helm chart(s) available for deploying/managing crafter in kubernetes?

We decided against that. We may be publishing a Terraform configuration which works quite well with Amazon AWS to start with. We intend on providing the same convenience to Azure second and GCP third.

I can't give you an exact date on that, and I do expect something early next year.

Here is the basic setup that can get you started:

Seems like one should just be able to deploy any of the components to any k8s cluster regardless of cloud provider or if the cluster is in on prem no? this seems a bit aws specific.

Right now without helm I’m manually having to keep track of all the yaml artifacts rather than just have it all bundled nicely under a helm release.

Correct. Customer and community users do indeed deploy all this without dependence on AWS. Bear in mind, however, the S3 connector for Engine. If you have an S3 compatible storage you're good. As I mentioned here or one of the other threads you opened, we're also hoping to support Azure and then GCP.

RE Helm, we welcome contributions, if interested, please review: https://github.com/craftercms/craftercms/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md and we can figure out if Helm stuff can fit in an existing repo or be carved out.
