Hey everyone -
I had it on my google calendar (which I forgot to check) that we had a
playdate this Tuesday. Did that really happen? Should we go by the
calendar designations regarding whether or not we're meeting, or
should we rely on updates/reminders through this forum?

I hope you're all well!

Hey all!

So I've been trying to coordinate a time with Lynda to do the "medium transfers" workshop, but she's a hard working busy woman like all you fine ladies.  Sooooo, maybe we could give her a breather and look to Melinda and Julie to do their "tailoring" workshop next(?).  Melinda and Julie--if you're still interested, please feel free to go ahead and choose what dates work best for you.  As a group, we were just trying to avoid the first Saturday of the month because of Merkato, and Miriam has requested meeting on the 1st or 3rd Tuesday of the month because of City Council meetings.  The tailoring workshop would be perfect now with the warm weather finally here and we get the ability to refurbish some poorly fitting threads.

What do ya'll think?

:) (whew) that was me taking a breather! I think June would be the best time for the transfer workshop. I could try to stuff it in before, but I would really like to be well prepared for it so that everyone gets the best instructions. So second Saturday of June sound good? Or towards the end?

Hugs,
Lynda

Hey Everyone,
I need to talk to Melinda, but I'm thinking the tailoring workshop would need to wait until June or July as well :( I'm getting ready to move shortly & am also planning a baby shower....so maybe we could just do a play date between now & when Lynda does her workshop (if the workshop could be the 3rd or 4th Saturday in June that would be ideal for me...maybe the playdate on a Tuesday).
Also, as a side note, if any of you know anyone who wants to rent a one bedroom apartment on Franklin Street let me know...it's $650/month & will be available early June.
Miss you guys!

all right, so really good news:  Lynda would like to do the medium transfer workshop June 20th (3rd Saturday in June)!  does noon-2pm still work for everyone? Lynda, does this work for you?
---->as for a tuesday play date, the following dates are available: june 9, 16, 23, 30.  what do ya'll want to do?

so...mark your calendars:
June 20th "Medium Transfers Workshop" (time: tba)
organized and taught by Lynda Bostrom

lynda--just let us know what materials we'll need and i'll get with you to make sure the lounge is prepped for your workshop.

Either the 16th or the 30th work for me.

I have a modest proposal.  Obviously I don't expect the group to rotate around my schedule, and if second and fourth Tuesdays work best for everyone else, than that's great.

But, I am actually more interested in playdates than workshops right now, mostly because I can't take on any more things before I finish the ones I already have... or get super bored of them.  I would love more than one playdate a month and would happily volunteer my house and/or deck (if the weather apporves) once or twice to a rotating playdate schedule. I'm thinking one playdate at Clementine and one somewhere else every month?  It seems (at least for me) that a full month between dates makes it really easy for me to forget.

If nobody else is interested in that, that's fine.  But it's a thought.

Miriam

June 20th is great... 12 to 2 is awesome... it won't be a very intensive workshop because it's so dang easy. :)

(...sorry I've been MIA. I was out of town all last week...)

I'm up for doing the tailoring workshop in July with Julie. Maybe we should pin down a date earlier rather than later, too. As for another playdate happening before the transfer workshop, are there any open time slots for it in the next two weeks, Suzi?

July 11 would work best for me to do the tailoring workshop (I'll be on vacation the 18-25th). Also June 9 works fine for a playdate...
