Image Transfers workshop with Lynda Bostrom
Saturday, June 20th 1-3pm
Hello everyone!
Here is a list of the materials we’ll be using for each part of the workshop. I’m going to bring as much as I can, but since this is a free workshop, I can’t provide awesome materials for everyone. It’s a good idea to bring your own if you have any of these things lying around. I'll also bring a bunch of black and white images to play with.
Matte Medium Transfers
• Flat, smooth surfaced wood (like poplar) or a light colored fabric to transfer the image onto.
• Matte Medium Gel (Liquitex from Michaels.. I will bring a good amount, but this is a good staple craft item to have anyway. Decoupage!)
• Color ink jet print out
• Green scrubby pad (like the ones that back the two-tone sponges)
• Flat plastic card, a bone fold or a roller for burnishing
• Fine grade sandpaper
• Black and white or color mirrored inkjet print
Lacquer Transfers
• Paper (any type will work, but thick paper is quality. Try a cold press Arches paper <3), cardboard or wood to transfer the image onto. (Wood works ok, but porous paper surfaces work the best)
• Lacquer thinner (I will bring enough for everyone)
• Old spoon for burnishing
• Cotton pad
• Painter’s tape (I'll get this one)
• Black and white mirrored ink jet print out
See you on Saturday!!
