Dear Members of the Cradles 2 Crayons Family,
We were shocked this morning to hear of a new federal law that will go into affect February 10, 2009. Please see the details on this new law at the link below:

Long story short, recently the U.S. Consumer Protection and Safety Commission created a Federal Law that bans the resale of all children's clothing and toys that are produced before February 10, 2009 as of February 10, 2009. The reason behind this is that they request all lead-containing items be out-of-reach to children under 12 years of age. Since they can't regulate every minor detail of this, they have blanketed the entire resale market.
This issue is growing and will be covered by local news soon but we wanted to let you know of our plans before too much more chaos is created. It will affect Once Upon A Child, Ebay, Goodwill, garage sells, and of course, Cradles 2 Crayons. The law could be modified at any time but at this point it includes us and leaves us with no choice but to comply. To help us fight this issue, if you are interested, contact your local congressman to display your feelings on this topic.
Our next event will be February 5-7, 2009! Yes, this is VERY SOON and SUDDEN but we are left with no choice! The website was updated recently and has been updated again to reflect this latest change. All things are the same except for the dates! If you have already signed up, you are still registered. This is the time to really clean out the closets-this could be your last chance for a while! We sincerely apologize for the extreme short notice!
We value everyone's understanding and participation. Over the past 3 years, we have greatly appreciated all of the support, friendship, and fun that you have been a part of. We are not sure what this will entail for Cradles 2 Crayons beyond February 10th but we will certainly keep you posted. We hope to be back very soon!

Registration is OPEN now and volunteering will open at noon on January 10th (THIS SATURDAY)!
