M.Tech or LongTerm for GATE or JOB SEARCH ???

hello everyone

I have completed B.tech ECE in Kakatiya University in 2013.
i had appeared for gate 2013 but didnt qualified even by going for coaching (this was really making me so sad of me and at the exam centre i heard these words which have hurt me alot. "why should we feel sad as we didnt gone for coaching and one who went for coaching should feel sad as he spent money and time on gate coaching and failed to qualify!!!"

i also appeared for PGECET 2013 and got 2860 rank.

I am in big diloma to go for M.tech or should i seriously prepare for gate 2014 by taking coaching in ACE or search for job.

Another one that hurts me is my classmates are getting placed and some are going for MS so Please suggest me.

if i joined in m.tech can i appear for gate 2014 and is time available for me to prepare at my best for gate 2014 and get a job in PSU offering through GATE

go for ace... and study for a year .. as this time maximum selections are fron ace in the IIT..

See first of all forget your worry for a while and think about yourself. You should get answer from yourself only. Why you want to go for m.tech or ms or job. First explore the ways. If you want to go for GATE then you have to read all the subjects thoroughly. I guess thats the best option. Cause doing m.tech from anywhere except IIT will leave you in same situation as you experienced after doing B.E. And don't bother what others are getting or doing. Never compare. Its not necessary for you everyone to take coaching. Even without coaching people are doing great. This time ace has increased its fees almost 1.5 times of previous year.
Sit alone write you problems, write down all the options and answers striking your mind and then consult your doubts. Don't just follow what anyone is saying. They may not know you and your present circumstances well. You are the best person who can decide for your self. I'm sure you'll do the needful. Take care.

thanks for all suggestions,now i decided to prepare for GATE 2014.

so i am going to write GATE 2014 to get seat in iit's and as i am getting 1-year GAP, is it gonna be a problem for me to join in iits at the time of interview and also for companies recruiting in iit's while doing m.tech.

if it is the case then i am fear what should i answer them. shall i tell them that i have prepared for gate 2014 in that GAP.

will they satisfy,if not what should i do in that gap

Parthu sir is a genius and yes, what u just told is worth Gold for the taking. I felt the same things yesterday, after some path breaking progress I did in achieving success at my workplace reflecting in initiating GATE related work with confidence at home.

You are thinking too far into the future. The GATE exam is a major exercise. Today you need to make a start. Start doing it, in the next half hour, you may have to concentrate what may be needed to be spun into a habit and or removed from your erstwhile habits and then finally clear GAte in Feb next year then wait for results and then get selected for IITs and then lets see who will ask what, you may do well in the interview. 

Then get admission into IISc or IITK then lets see who refuses you for the GAP also, it is advisable u work somewhere and  persue this exam as u still have the time and only require continuos exam with realization like Propositional logic is over and now u have to move Switching theory or Computer Organization and so on.

You will definitely, find the resources created by TenPointer very useful, the people at TP Support are very friendly. Pursue ur dream friend, everybody is here to help you, my friend.

I work as a Content and Technical documentation consultant at Amzur Technologies Pvt Ltd in Vizag.

But I want to try hard for GATE and do not want to waste even one Week anymore. Please guide me into studies. Mitesh start chatting with me. This is a red alert, do not connect after four months when everything will be over.

Parthu sir, push me into the right track.

I am far better than last year and yes, I do get that special concentration more frequently, than last year, when I think like a expert for more than 5 hours at a stretch in a day.

Now its upto you, how you will take it  up from here.

Yes, it is M.Tech after long term GATE but while doing a reliable job in the Industry! to be able to avail the support of friends and family members!

Best job would be to do what I am doing, working in Software development and or Software Documentation if you can do that, otherwise resort to teaching profession in NIIT/APTECH or in High schools.

People should also be aware of this fact as well that going for GATE from premium institutes like IITs only to secure a placement because of the institutes reputation is not a very good idea.(In 2013-2014 itself MTECH pursuers from many IITs have faced this issue). So if you get a good rank ~within 100 go for PSUs masters ..u can always get through part time programs which almost all the corporates offer nowadays.
