Hi Fellow Bashers, 
Big Wheel here…. ! I did volunteer myself to lead the next Bash however my number has come up for an operation which was cancelled when I got Covid….not wishing to pour out the status of my health (just need the tyres changing, brakes relined, usual stuff) therefore I wont be able to do the Sat 10th April Bash, so if someone can volunteer, I’d be grateful…otherwise I could change it to the 24th April (being Randomly Active) or I’ll do the May bash on the 15th May.
Let me know if anyone could hare the 10th April?

I don't often say this, but RTT had a good idea.

He suggested delaying by a week to when the pubs are open.

Hi BW, hope all goes well with the op, if you’ve been waiting a while you must be relieved to get it booked in. I’m with PP in that I would not normally say RTT had a good idea. 

However a week delay looks like a good plan and hopefully we get a beer in a garden somewhere. Also sounds like he was volunteering to hare with such a good idea 😉. Fri 30th April would be the first BST pub crawl - need to get our heads round a plan to make that work - lots of gardens and booking needed.

Hello BW,

It was indeed an excellent idea of RTT to delay the April Bash until the pubs open. Unfortunately, RTT will not be able to avail himself of this change, as he will be in Covid-isolation in preparation for the surgeon's knife. This means the trail prepared originally for the November Bash will have to wait until high summer, when at least the pubs should be open for 'Business as usual'.

I will though join you at a watering hole somewhere, courtesy of Tudor Rose, in May perhaps.

Best wishes Big Wheels for your encounter with the surgeon.

Hi Bashers,
Let’s go for the Sat 24th April for the next full day Bash with a …….drum roll please……a pub at the end!
I’ll do the trail and hopefully find a beverage stop at the end.
I’ll ask a couple of you to book extra tables so we can all fit into the same pub, it’s still tables of 6.
So pop the date in your diary!
And pump those tyres up!

Lucky for you guys I haven't booked any tables!!!!!
As I thought it would be impossible to dictate when we would all arrive, so we are going to a pub that doesn't take bookings due to no shows last lock down.
Shock horror! I’m going out on a limb here but I am reassured by the land lord that if we arrive mid afternoon..I’m aiming for 2.30-3pm at the latest so that we will arrive at off peak time ! Let’s hope it works .

Meet at 10.15 sharp at Hot Numbers, Trumpington Rd (NOT GWYDIR ST), Cambridge.
Start time 10.30pm
On and off road, probably no shiggy as it’s too dry.
Bring a snack or two to keep you going till the pub.
Not sure what other info you need?

It will be great to see you, and fabulous to finally go to a pub again.

It's rule of 6 though until sometime in May. So we should start once we have a six so we don't end up being a big group, especially in such a public area.

Is it staying with jungle rules - one blob and you're on, no false trails - as we'll be in small groups?

Sox has a good point - I'm guessing that turning up in one mob at the same time would not be such a great idea, 6-people-outside or not.  Perhaps a rolling start for groups from 10:15?

Yes Sox, that’s a better idea if we stagger the start as then we can arrive at the pub in small groups of 6,

And yes to Jungle Rules, one blob and you're on! ( I thought about a few false trails but I think the route I’ve chosen will be enough without checkbacks )

I’m looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow , it’s a long Bash but you can make short cuts ( I haven’t referred to the Bash Bible to see if this is allowed!)
Anyway bring suntan cream & food and drink plus a woolie ( or puffa jacket) as it will get cold in the pub.
