Website working methode.

Hi website team,

Thank you Tomek for the suggestions and enthousiasme.
Some are in line with what the rest like to implement as well.
Other are new and need to be agreed on.
'Sonds like a good idea' is not yet an agreement.

I hereby try to set out a way to work together.

I suggest some appointments to agree on as a group before we or a group member takes action.
The cf.eu url would be a nice as asset if it was possible to get it. I do not think we must spend to much energy in a url is the rules do not support it. Our goal is to support orw CF/CRW actions. Let focus our time and energy on that.

About suggested names
We can or already are called by;
ECF = which stand for European Canopy Formation
Te domain ecf.eu is registered with Gandi.net, It is currently being parked by the owner
The CRW.eu is in the process of making a cost-benefit analysis for the domain name. Under certain
circumstances it is possible to acquire this domain name.
crEUw dogs. is a very nice abbreviation were the EU is integrated in. We use it all ready in our tekst, I do not know if it is suitable as url.
canopy-formation.eu is in use bt PETi but could be used by us.
The name we will use or stay using should support us the best way possible on; promotion, recognition and easy to remember.

At the moment we have;
- europeancanopyformation.eu als url for our website.
The name might be long, but still easy to remember
- crewdogs.eu is the shorter form which lead you to the website as well.
This url is never been promoted active but it still works.

We can discuss the need for a new url, but, a new url is not the most important issue to deal with at the moment... I think...

About the use of the EU / European Union.
We are promoting Canopy Formation in Europe. We are not promoting the European Union and we should try to avoid any political statement. We could lose crew-dogs just because off different views on politics. That would be very unfortunately and actually against we are trying, bringing crw-dogs together.
We are recreational sportsmen, who love their discipline and like to share this with other Europeans and World wide crew-dogs.

Our way of working to geather and taking action.
We should have a plan which is tough out before we take action. Like the abbreviation crEUw came to us after we launched the website. Lets first make a list of what is important to us and have a say about is before we start putting out action.

Prioritys/ to do list
Pleas comment and fill in the list with your 'to do's'.
1. should we claim creuw.eu to let it be used to lead the visitor to our website?
It is a great creation which we should try to use as much as possible.
Both http://creuw.eu/ and http://creuwdogs.eu/ are still available... it seems like

2 Is it necessary to change our website/url name?

3 Staff members per country.
4. Re routing the host for or website.
5. Use of EU.CF as google group.. I will copy post this amail in it.. lets see if we can work/change idea's in this group.
5. ....

Hello Henk! :-)

Our public CF.EU group seems to be working :-)

Regarding the domain, if we are not tied anyhow to EU, and dont really
want to bring any politics here (which is awsome idea), we could use
AERO domain as well any other without restrictions for the website url
:-)

I like the crewdogs.eu name or simply crwdogs.eu :-)

I still think we could at least try to obtain the CF.EU domain.. it
will become available in future anyway..

The name change would also imply the URL and email changes. Could we
please wait until the final name is agreed by everyone so we dont
change it again soon (this may break the comms)? :-)

I know the CRWDOGS US group, I bought my canopy there :-)

Please select one of below:
CRWDOGS.EU <- is free and resembles US team
CREWDOGS.EU <- is already owned by us and nice to remember
CREUWDOGS(.EU) <- not really easy to remember and doubles "eu"
CANOPY-FORMATION.EU <- is also nice and owned by us already
CF.EU <- resembles logo but may not be available at all

Henk, if you dont mind, please let us select the name of the organization and the internet acronym first. That would keep things coherent and use common account name for all different portals (dns, fb, google, vimeo, instagram, groups, etc)...

I mean we should use one name over the net, that is also the www name, and all other places.

If we change now the google group address we should also change the group email and the web address, and things stop working..

As we have CREWDOGS.EU already working I will use and change name this way.

Note that reply to this address wont be possible anymore after that :-)
