Dear Prospective BTech Students,

This information is for students who have completed their National Diploma, i. e. those that have passed S6 or P2 and intended to enroll for BTech: Mechatronics.

Please note that BTech: Mechatronics is a different qualification from ND: Mechatronics, consequently, admission into BTech: Mechatronics is not automatic. In order words, you cannot continue with BTech: Mechatronics except you have been accepted to study BTech: Mechatronics.

The procedure for enrollment into BTech: Mechatronics is as follows:

1.    Complete application for advanced studies (attached). Please leave the last table BLANK.

2.    Attach your academic record. You can obtain this from CPUT examinations and records

3.    Submit the application (preferably to me or any of the Mechatronics our administrative assistants)

Once your application is received, it will be evaluated and you will be informed of the outcome within a week.

It is important to know that it is NOT our responsibility to complete and submit an application for you. Besides, if your application is successful, it is your responsibility to get registered within the University’s registration period.

Best regards.

Hi Mr. Ayodele

just a short question, what if prospective students does not qualify for btech admission, does this mean they will never be able to do a degree? or does the department have a contingency strategy in place to assist such a student?

Regards
