MMG400S Mid-term test and other informatio​n

Students,

 

to recap on what is important regarding the mid-term test next week.:

• We gather at the normal time, 17H30, to settle down and organised for the test which will start strictly at 18H00.
• You will have exactly one [1] hour, that is 60 minutes, to complete the test and no more except if you have a medical certificate proving some sort of terrible disability. Part of good management is promptness and being on-time. So let us make this then part of the test.
• Please adhere to the standard rules of CPUT regarding examinations. This will be strictly enforced.
• You will be writing the test on the work done up to now.
• Please answer in a neat handwriting - I can only allocate marks to things I can read or at least look like handwriting.
• When ask to "explain" or "describe" in a question, please write in sentences and paragraphs. SMS abbreviations is not understood and will thus not count as real words.
• You will not be expected to do an example of complex problem solving in the test.
• Attached you will find some of my crib notes on topics discussed. Please understand that these are not real crib notes and you are not allowed to smuggle it into the exam room. Also remember that crib notes are rarely complete - not all questions asked will be from the crib notes. Thinking that will be a huge mistake, he, he!
